Abstract:

These lectures of Professor Alexander Xolodovich were delivered in 1969/1970 academic year in the Leningrad state university, and contain a theory of language morphology as a calculus (calculating classification) based on the axiom of linguistic sign and exploring eventual methods of producing new morphological units through operations on semantics, syntactics, morphemic structure and phonology of the basic unit.
